How do your prices compare with other copywriters?
According to the Pro Copywriters survey of 2019 the average national day rate for copywriting services stands at £349.
My current day rate for copywriting services is £200 (which works out at £25 per hour). This is reflective of my level of experience and professional expenses. However, you can expect me to produce the highest quality content for your business.
I prefer to quote on a project basis, taking the following factors into consideration:
Level of detail provided in the copywriting brief
Nature and complexity of the subject
Amount of research required
Expected time that the project will take
Urgency of the content
Value of the copywriting service

Why do you charge on a project basis?
You might be aware that some content writers charge per word. However, I am among the majority of the copywriting community in avoiding this practice. This is because per word pricing isn’t reflective of the amount of time that goes into the creation of quality content. As an example it might take two days for a copywriter to come up with a 10 word stand-out strapline. However, it might take that same copywriter a few hours to research and write an informative and engaging blog post. Words aren’t a commodity.
Of course there is the option of charging by the hour. However, the Pro Copywriters survey of 2019 revealed that just 40% of copywriters have a preference for charging by the day or hour. The project-based fee was preferred by 59% of copywriters. The main reason is that the focus will be on time rather than quality when charging by the hour. My number one priority is producing the best quality content for you; no matter whether it takes 9 or 10 hours. In charging by the project I give you the benefit of knowing exactly how much your content will cost at the outset.
